If you have never gotten a Botox treatment, you might not know just what it is that you should expect from it. The more you know, the less nervous you may be, and the more likely it is that you can be properly prepared for the entire process. To help you with this, you will want to take a few moments to review the following information.

There Will Be Some Redness

You might notice some marks on your face, as well as some redness. Some people will have more marks and redness than others, as it just depends on your complexion and how your skin reacts to the treatment. The good news is that the redness and the marks will go away. In many cases, such issues will go away within minutes. By the time you leave the facility or make it back to your house, the redness should be gone or at least subsided greatly.

You Might Notice Some Bruising

It is not likely that there will be any bruising noticed on the first day of your treatment. However, there is a good chance that you will notice some minor bruising starting to appear the day after the Botox treatments. With the application of some concealer, you should be able to hide the bruises while they heal on their own.

Your Face Might Feel Heavy

This is a symptom that can last for a week or two, but it will go away. As the Botox settles in, you will not continue to have that heavy feeling in the places where the Botox was injected. The more Botox you get as each treatment session, the more likely it is that it is going to take a little longer for that heavy feeling to go away.

Movement Will Gradually Return

You might notice that the treated area will not be able to move on its own at first through the various facial expressions that you make. However, as a couple of months pass by, you will start to notice that you will have full movement again.

Should you find that you still have some questions or concerns, you will want to make it a point to talk with your Botox treatment specialist before you have the treatment done. This way, you can get all of the information that you can before proceeding with the treatment. The more you know, the more prepared and possibly the more comfortable you can be.
